Lymph Pressure Massage

What Is Lymph?
Lymph is a clear to yellowish watery fluid which is found throughout the body. It circulates through body tissues picking up fats, bacteria, and other unwanted materials, filtering these substances out through the lymphatic system. The circulation of lymph through the body is an important part of immune system health. You could think of lymph as the milkman of the body, dropping off fresh supplies, and picking up discarded bottles for processing elsewhere.

Lymph Pressure Massage
It is an air compression treatment that applies a wave of pressure to the tissue beneath the skin, moving from the end points of the limbs upwards towards the body and heart. It is a non-invasive treatment, and the sensation is similar to a relaxing massage. This 'squeezing' of the tissues and veins helps reduce pressure in the veins, and also helps to oxygenate the tissues, therefore reducing the symptoms associated with lymph oedema and poor circulation.

What Are The Benefits Of Having A Lymph Pressure Massage?
- Reduces lymph oedema
- Reduces water retention
- Improves poor circulation of blood and lymph
- Improvement of constipation
- Improves pregnant woman's swollen legs, etc.
- Reduces chronic venous problems such as spider veins, etc.
- Reduces cellulite and helps with slimming (in conjunction with a healthy diet & exercise)
- Relieves chronic pain
- Lymph drainage therapy is even said to be useful for such things as insomnia, stress,
   and loss of memory

Lymph Pressure Massage may be used as the main treatment, or can play a supportive role in other types of treatment. It can also be used for maintenance. The number of sessions and frequency of treatments varies, depending on the specifics of the patient's case.

Duration:
60 minutes a session.
